What I have been up to
I have been wrapped up recently in a big ol’ CD production project for a medical device developer. The production of the CD is finished at long last - it was really only a couple of months, but it seemed like more. Anyway, this was the first “major” project that I have headed up from start to finish. Since the CD includes video, voice over, animation & a user-interface to tie all of those parts together I got to be a part of some really cool production stuff. Here’s an image of me “directing” with Mike Yonts, the videographer for the project:

In truth Mike is so on top of things that I really didn’t have to do much at all during the shoot. Managing the efforts of many people can be overwhelming, but having highly-skilled people who know and love their craft makes the job much easier. This image sure does make me feel like a cool dude, though.

Man Regan you look like a natural standing behind that XL-1. Did you get to do any P.A. work like get coffee or tell the talent “They’re ready for you now”? Cause if you didn’t, you don’t know what you’re missing.
Mr. Higgs got to see the tentatively completed CD and I must say “top notch indeed”.
Regan Norton = The meaning of versatile.

Cool stuff Regan. You really do look right at home behind that camera.
This is why I love our profession so much. Are there any other professions where you get to have a hand in so many different trades? I had a similar opportunity a few months back and I kept thinking to myself “man, this is so cool” while on the set. I didn’t get to do any coffee runs for the “talent,” as they were all under the age of 10, but I did get to keep them occupied with my gameboy and camera between shoots.
Bravo Regan. I’d love to take a look at the finished project.

Check him out. I’d like to get to know that guy behind the camera.
It is a very nice finished product. As Mr. Higgs says, “Top notch indeed.”

Hey! You’re real cool, George.
I was searching for images of assorted famous artist-types when i stumbled upon this nifty little ditty. Congratulations on the finished product; i am going to rush right out and purchase a copy of my own.
Little Mina say: I miss you and i hope to see you soon. When will you come visit me? You’re welcome to come up and stay! What do you think? Write back soon.

This is pathetic. And “holler” is old lady Koopgirl’s version of being cool, thankyouverymuch.
